There is a large performance gap between jobs in the game. In particular, Bishop's in-game performance is superior to other jobs. I would like to know whether there are plans to improve this.
Inquiries: 105We feel a heavy sense of responsibility for the balance imbalance caused by the performance gap between jobs — especially Bishop's prolonged performance advantage. As job balance is a foundational element of the game, our development team treats it as a top priority. A balance patch will be applied first through the upcoming August update to reduce the gap. We plan to significantly raise the performance of jobs that have been underperforming. Because the actual impact of job balance varies greatly depending on variables such as dungeon environments, equipment setups, and job mechanics, accurate judgments require a large amount of information and verification. We are well aware that our response speed has fallen short of Maplers' expectations, as it took time to review this vast amount of information and reach careful conclusions. That is why we recognized the need to make this process itself faster: we are collecting a wider range of data needed for balance decisions while introducing new testing methods that allow us to verify it more quickly. This will let us respond to balance issues faster going forward. In addition, since some aspects are hard to fully grasp through metrics alone, we will also listen more closely to the first-hand feedback of the Maplers who understand each job best. We will respond quickly based on continuous monitoring and Maplers' feedback.
